and conditions
These
terms and conditions are the competition rules (“rules”) by
completing and submitting the student survey prior to the closing date
you will be automatically entered into the competition, you will be deemed
to have accepted the terms and conditions and to have agreed to be bound
by them.

The competition is open to international students resident in the UK and
/ or overseas aged 18 years or over.
·
Entries are strictly limited to one per international student.
·
No purchase is necessary for entry to the prize draw, simply complete
and submit the Student Survey.
·
All entries must be submitted via the official competition website, entries
submitted by any other method will not be accepted.
·
The closing date for all entries is Midnight Friday 31 October. The grand
prize draw will take place on or
before 30th November 2008, winners will be selected at random, incomplete,
inappropriate or offensive entries will not be accepted, winners will
be notified by email shortly afterwards.
·
The prize(s) for the grand prize draw consist either an: Ipod, X Box 360,
Nintendo DS Lite, Apple MacBook, Amazon.co.uk vouchers, iTunes vouchers,
signed football shirts. Winners and prizes will be selected at random
on a first selected basis limited to one per winner.
·
Every 50th participant will win Amazon.co.uk vouchers or iTunes vouchers
or other strictly subject to availability, one prize per 50th participant.
·
There is no cash alternative to any of the prizes on offer and you are
not permitted to exchange the prize, British Council reserves the right
to substitute, modify or supersede the competition including any prize
without notice at its absolute discretion.
·
For the avoidance of doubt the British Council shall not be responsible
for any entry that fails to reach us by e-mail before the closing date.
·
Any entry which is damaged defaced. Illegible, incomplete or which otherwise
does not comply with the terms and conditions hereunder may be deemed
as invalid at the sole discretion of the British Council
·
If there is any dispute as to the identity of the person submitting the
entry, that entry will be treated as though submitted by the account holder
of the e-mail account.
·
The British Council reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions
at any time without giving prior notice.
·
The British Council may from time to time send you news and tell you about
promotions which we think you may be interested in, your information may
be passed on to reputable third parties, if you would not like to receive
any further information please select the relevant box in the survey.
·
Information we collect about you will be used and protected by us in accordance
with current data protection law.
·
In no event will the British Council be liable for any loss, damage, injury
or disappointment suffered by any participant entering the competition
including, without limitation, consequential loss or damage, or any loss
or damages whatsoever arising from participation in the competition,
·
The British Council maintain the right to use any promotional materials
created as a result of competition for on-going promotions, and reserve
the right to publish the names of winners
·
The British Council’s decision will be final and no correspondence
will be entered into with regard to it.
·
The Competition may be withdrawn at any time.
·
The competition terms and conditions will be governed by English law.
Limitations
of liability:
Neither
the promoter or the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability
for:
Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment,
systems, network, lines, satellites. Servers, computers or providers utillised
in any aspect of this promotion.
